Het begint met een boom.
TRUECELL® starts as wood cellulose from sustainably managed beech forests in Central Europe. The wood is ground into pulp, dissolved, and pressed through spinnerets, microscopic holes that transform cellulose into ultra-fine fibers. One thread contains over 10,000 microfibers. Cotton has 2,000. You can feel the difference: a smoother surface, less friction on your skin. The solvent is reused by more than 99% in a closed loop. No waste streams. No chemical residues. Fully biodegradable.
Drie vezels, één stof.
TRUECELL® is made up of three types of fiber, each with its own role. The base is an ultrafine cellulose fiber from an Austrian fiber manufacturer, a world leader in wood fiber technology. Softer than cotton, smoother than bamboo. This is what you feel on your skin. The second fiber comes from a German fiber specialist who incorporates zinc oxide directly into the cellulose during the spinning process. No coating. No post-treatment. The mineral is in the fiber and stays there. It keeps the fabric dry, inhibits bacterial growth at the source, and supports your skin balance. Not for a few months. For its entire lifespan. The third is an elastic fiber that provides structure and complete shape recovery after every stretch. We combine these three in a ratio optimized for the final product, not for the lab. Production steps such as dyeing and finishing consume active ingredients. We factor that in. The result is knitted into a jersey knit: compact, elastic, pliable.
190 gram per vierkante meter. En dat voel je.
TRUECELL® weighs 190 GSM, heavier than most modal and bamboo fabrics on the market. That extra weight is no accident. It gives the fabric structure without stiffness, body without warmth. The fiber has 50-60% natural stretch and fully returns to its original shape. No stretched-out legs after a day of sitting. No baggy seat after a few months. The flat seams and soft waistband are not glued but woven, so nothing chafes, presses, or irritates. This is not a fabric that starts soft and then gives in. This is a fabric that still performs on month six like it did on day one.
