Why cotton doesn't adapt and TRUECELL does
Softness and stretch are important. Otherwise, the legs roll up and chafe.
Cotton soaks up water.
We throw a cotton boxer brief and our boxer brief into the water. Cotton absorbs and retains moisture, causing it to sink. Our fiber immediately wicks away moisture, allowing it to float longer.

Don't fall for the 3 tricks of the underwear industry
"Bamboo" = viscose: chemically dissolved and re-spun. Nothing of the bamboo remains—and the fiber sags and wears out quickly.
Little of the plant remains.
Generic modal comes from anonymous factories and is often blended with polyester. The difference becomes apparent after 20 washes.
The label is correct, but the feeling isn't.

What's the difference compared to other Tencel brands?
TRUECELL™ uses a finer lyocell fiber and a denser knit. As a result, the fabric stays softer, retains its shape better, and demonstrably lasts longer than most generic Tencel boxers.
Isn't this just the bamboo hype in a new guise?
No. Bamboo is chemically processed into viscose, which often stretches and wears out quickly. TRUECELL™ is lyocell from a closed-loop system: the solvent is reused, and the fiber is stronger and more dimensionally stable.
Modal is just modal, right?
Modal and lyocell are similar, but lyocell is produced in a closed-loop system and is stronger. We consciously choose lyocell so that your boxer shorts stay in shape, even after dozens of washes.
How can this be around €10 per piece?
We sell directly to you, without intermediaries and without expensive retail margins. With larger packages, the unit price drops to as low as €9.17.
What size should I choose?
Just take your normal size. The fabric has just enough stretch for a perfect fit without stretching out. If you are in between two sizes, choose the smaller one.
What's the best way to wash them?
Wash at 30 degrees and air dry or tumble dry on a low setting. This will best preserve the softness and shape. Do not use fabric softener — you don't need it with this fabric.
How exactly does the 1-year warranty against holes work?
If you get a hole in a normal place within a year, we will send you a new one for free. No small print – just an email with a photo is enough.
